
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His first big role was the character of private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (1980-1988) as well as took home the Emmy Award in 1985. Since 2010, Selleck has co-starred as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine television films based upon the Robert B. Parker novels, he played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chief, beginning in 2005. Selleck also played the character of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architecture, in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). Since Magnum, P.I., his appearances have included more than 50 roles on TV as well as in film, such as the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter, baseball. He was a recurring TV actor, playing Monica Geller's love interest, Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the charming and unassuming companion in The Rockford Files; and A.J., casino owner.
