Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress, who appeared in a variety of European and American films. Her most well-known role is her performance in the comedy-drama film 'La Dolce Vita'. The film won an Oscar and the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, and also was critically and commercially successful. The film was made in Skane, Sweden, she worked as a fashion model prior to her acting profession. She won her first Miss Sweden competition. In the US, she started appearing in movies with minor roles. Her first credit role was in the movie "Abbott and Costello Go To Mars', where she played in the role of a Venusian guard. In the same year she was awarded an award called the Golden Globe in the category of "Most Outstanding Newcomer" in recognition of her performance in the film "Blood Alley. She appeared in several other films during her entire career. These include the American-Italian War drama "War and Peace' as well as The Western production "Valerie" as well as the British Adventure Crime film "The Man Inside The Man Inside,' as well as the French and Italian film The Dam on the Yellow River. Her death occurred in the year 2015 when she was 83 years old.
