Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to a family in South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised in a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. She appeared on stage in several productions as a student like King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport on the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for two weeks on The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama series was cast as Ashley Davenport. Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, is a member of the large Hamilton family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's four brothers, all very active, took part in hockey during the winter and baseball during the summer months, which means that she grew up playing in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley could not walk but danced. This led to the fact that at the age of 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley was a professional dancer throughout the various divisions until she finished high school. The competitions she participated in included jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as the acrobatics.
