Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to a family in South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised in a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. She appeared on stage in several productions as a student like King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous.
